About Danielle
Danielle Carlson has been playing the piano since she was twelve years old. Before playing the piano, Danielle took violin lessons from the age of five until she picked up the piano. Music has always been a part of her life, and it is something she instinctively loves to share with others.

In high school, Danielle began taking piano lessons from a piano professor at Oklahoma State University who went on to be her piano professor in college.

Danielle began teaching music lessons while attending college at OSU. She minored in music at OSU with piano as her primary instrument and received her bachelor's of science degree in strategic communications.
Teaching Philosophy
Danielle's goal as a music teacher is to inspire a resilient love for piano and music in her students. She accomplishes this by developing a mastery in each of her students of proper technique, ear training skills, sight-reading, and a knowledge of Western music theory.

Throughout her music lessons, Danielle focuses on the following four pillars:
-
Piano Technique
-
Music Theory
-
Ear-Training and Sight-Reading
-
Performance

Danielle strives to work with her students' natural skills and gifts, creating a positive learning environment where students feel safe to learn, grow, and challenge themselves.
